VIM Camps Joins Allergy School

We’re delighted to share that we have officially signed up to Allergy School, the free, practical programme run by the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation. This move underlines our ongoing commitment to making our wraparound and holiday clubs safe and inclusive for every child, especially those with food allergies.

What is Allergy School?
Allergy School provides free resources designed to help schools, clubs, and out-of-school settings better understand, manage and support children with food allergies. These resources include lesson plans, assemblies, films, first‑aid advice, a self‑assessment checklist, and much more – all aimed at helping to build safe, welcoming environments. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation
At its heart is the fact that about two children in every classroom have a food allergy. Yet too often, children can feel excluded, anxious or unsafe because of a lack of knowledge among staff and peers, or because their needs aren’t properly accounted for. Allergy School aims to change that.

What This Means for VIM Camps Families
By signing up to Allergy School, we have access to these excellent tools and training, which means we can take extra steps to:
  • Build a culture of understanding and awareness among all children, so those with allergies feel included and supported.

Why It Matters
For families whose children have food allergies, trusting a club setting to be safe is understandably a big concern. By aligning with Allergy School, we want to give parents peace of mind that we are doing everything we can to provide not only fun and adventure – but safety, inclusion and respect for children’s varying medical needs.

If you have a child with food allergies and would like to talk through how we’ll handle specific allergies at one of our clubs, or how the Allergy School resources will be used in your child’s setting, please get in touch.
