After School Club

Our Stonegate After School Club is a small, friendly club where children can feel completely at home. Stonegate is a lovely close-knit school where children know each other well, and we want V.I.M to feel like an extension of that little community.

After School Club is the children’s time. They can relax, play, get creative, head outside, spend time with friends and choose the things they enjoy. Think of it a little like a playdate — children can even book in with their friends and enjoy their afternoon together, without the playdate having to happen in your house!

For children who come regularly, we hope V.I.M soon feels like an extended family. Our team gets to know the children as individuals — what they enjoy, who their friends are and what helps them feel happy and settled. We’ll take care of them, have fun with them and make sure they feel safe, included and welcome.

We’re especially looking forward to welcoming our youngest Reception children and helping them settle in, make friends and grow in confidence.

And we’re here for parents too. If you ever have a question or concern about your child, please get in touch. We want families to feel comfortable talking to us so that we can work together to make your child’s time at V.I.M as happy as possible.

Children are provided with a snack. Please note that this is an after school snack sufficient to keep them going until their evening meal. If you prefer to send in a particular or additional snack, please let us know so we can make sure it is eaten.

There’s always something to choose from at V.I.M

  • Outdoor Adventures Team games, football, outdoor challenges, nature activities and plenty of opportunities to get outside, move and play.

  • Create & Imagine Arts and crafts, junk modelling, painting, seasonal creations, construction challenges and opportunities to design, make and invent.

  • Games & Challenges Scavenger hunts, quizzes, team challenges, traditional games, puzzles and fun activities that get children thinking, moving and working together.

  • Chill & Choose Books, board games, jigsaws, construction toys and quieter activities where children can relax and spend time with friends.

  • Nurturing Time for Our Younger Children Reception children are given time and support to settle in, build confidence, make friends and enjoy the club at their own pace.

Breakfast Club

Children arrive from 7.45am and are greeted with a healthy breakfast, with options such as fruit, toast, crumpets and cereal. After eating, they can choose to relax, chat with friends, or get involved in a range of activities.

We also support healthy morning routines, so please send your child with a labelled toothbrush in a small freezer bag that can stay with us. When your child attends Breakfast Club, we’ll gently encourage them to brush their teeth after breakfast.

At the start of school children head to their classrooms ready for a positive start to the day.
