After School Club
Our St Mary the Virgin After School Club is a friendly, relaxed place where children can feel at home at the end of their school day.
This is the children’s time — time to play, unwind, be creative, get outside, spend time with friends and choose the things they enjoy. There is always plenty to do, but children are never expected to all follow the same activity or timetable.
They might join in with games and challenges, build and make, get creative, enjoy outdoor play or simply choose a quieter activity and relax with friends.
Our caring V.I.M team is there to support, encourage and join in with the fun. We get to know the children as individuals and want every child to feel happy, confident, included and part of our V.I.M family.
Children are provided with a snack. Please note that this is an after school snack sufficient to keep them going until their evening meal. If you prefer to send in a particular or additional snack, please let us know so we can make sure it is eaten.
There’s always something to choose from at V.I.M
Breakfast Club
Children arrive from 7.40am and are greeted with a healthy breakfast, with options such as fruit, toast, crumpets and cereal. After eating, they can choose to relax, chat with friends, or get involved in a range of activities.
We also support healthy morning routines, so please send your child with a labelled toothbrush in a small freezer bag that can stay with us. When your child attends Breakfast Club, we’ll gently encourage them to brush their teeth after breakfast.
At the start of school children head to their classrooms ready for a positive start to the day.
